R&S Hillside Alpacas

Suri Alpacas date back to ancient Incan times. Their soft, silky and lusterous fiber was reserved only for Incan royalty. Now it is available for us in the United States.

We established R&S Hillside Alpacas in 1998 in the rolling hills northeast of Rochester, MN. We soon outgrew our small acreage and have recently moved to a 26 acre farm 2 miles northwest of Dodge Center, MN. We now have plenty of room with lots of pasture and our own hay field. Our Alpacas love the openness plus having more room to roam, run and play.

Our goal is to develop our herd of Suri Alpacas to be of a high and superior quality. We selectively breed for good solid pedigrees,confirmation, friendly, quiet demeanor and finest fiber. We have seven breeding females and are expecting seven crias in 2006. We offer "pet quality" and pedigree alpacas for sale. We also have alpaca yarn, raw fiber and finished products including soft and cuddly teddy bears for sale. If interested, call or e-mail for price list.

We invite you to come and visit us and our beautiful alpacas. It's a beneficial way to learn more of the advantages of raising these wonderful creatures. To visit our farm take Hwy 14 towards Dodge Center, MN. Exit off Hwy 14 at the 56S exit. Go north through Dodge Center. This road then turns into Co. Rd. 7. After you get past the town of Dodge Center you will see a cemetery on the left. Look for a white fence on the left - at the end of that fence is 620 Street (gravel). Turn left and then go 1/2 mile to another road. Turn right and go north 1/2 mile. We are the first farm on the right. Look for the large red shed.
